An Associate of the Residence Inn Ocean City may be assigned to work in one or more areas of the hotel. It
is very important that you are flexible. Assignments will be based on the abilities and skills of the participant
as well as business levels. The specific areas and overview of the job responsibilities are below. These job
responsibilities can change and vary at any time.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE ATTENDANT
*Includes dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, setting up meeting rooms, bussing tables,
stocking and replenishing food, prepping/cooking food for the day, talking to guests, being friendly with a
smile
GROUNDS PERSON
*Outside position, picking up trash and debris, emptying trash bins and cigarette urns, weeding flower beds,
planting, cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, making the property look clean and fresh
HOUSEMAN / LAUNDRY
*Cleaning bathrooms, stripping rooms of dirty linen and trash, delivering linen and towels to guest rooms,
stocking the pool with towels, assisting housekeepers with taking their trash or linens, making beds,
separating dirty laundry and putting laundry in the washer and dryers, folding laundry, sweeping, mopping and
vacuuming floors
PARKING ATTENDANT
*Supervise the parking lot, communicate with guests, check each car that comes into the lot for a hotel
specific parking pass, keep track of parking coupons and sell parking passes for daily hotel parking, check the
parking lot to make sure each car has a valid parking pass
POOL ATTENDANT
*Clean the pool, maintain grounds of the plaza, stock pool towels, monitor the pool area to make sure guests
have appropriate keys and are registered guests, clean bathroom toilets, bathroom sinks, stock paper towels,
sweep pool deck, communicate with guests.
Other duties may be assigned. Training will be provided, however once the busy season hits you will need to
work independently at a fast pace. Tips are not a guarantee but could be earned from the guest depending on
the level of care received.

 

 

Housekeepers/Room Attendants create an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a larger than

home experience with welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service; while maintaining a clean, comfortable,
and inviting environment. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining the cleanliness of the
guest rooms and public space as assigned: - Removal and replacement of all bed linens to include mattress,
box spring, sofa bed, all pillows; making beds to brand standard of excellence.

 

Breakfast Attendant Job responsibilities:
*Providing personalized service to all the guests.
*Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar in an attractive abundant-looking, organized, clean and standardized presentation.
*Taking inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
*Ordering or purchasing food supplies.
*Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices from concentrates.
Stocking coffee, juice and milk machines and dispensers.
*Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products.
Setting out/arranging cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal for self service.
*Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
*Wiping up spills.
*Removing trash.
*Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed.
*Washing serving equipment and returning it to storage.
*Returning reusable food supplies to storage.
*Listening and responding to guests requests or complaints.
*Must be aware and practice all emergency and safety procedures.
