Community work 1- Education Project Welcome Abroad works with a variety of community centres, non-governmental organizations, day-care centres and street children homes that provide assistance to local communities. They need help with anything from providing english lessons, computer skills, art & craft, gym practice, singing and guitar lessons, painting, dancing and help with homework (children from 6 to 17 years old), just to mention some of the needs of this community. As a volunteer, you will be working in different areas 3 to 5 times a week (15 to 20 hs p/week). Flexibility is one of the major keys of success for your volunteer experience. 2- Food & Shelter for homeless people Project Welcome Abroad also works with local organizations to provide general welfare to homeless adults, such as preparing and serving meals. These groups are very eager to receive volunteers who are allowed to collaborate in this particular task. 3- Office work Project in Non-Profit Foundations This Volunteer Project involves Office work and requires strong computer skills. The task is related to the community communication within a well known Non Profit Foundations in Argentina. 4- Community work Project in Salta Province This Volunteer Work Project takes place in remote mountain Primary Schools. It involves school maintenance, teaching basic English and diverse activities with students in order to promote international understanding. Project Locations: Placements are located primarily in different Buenos Aires neighborhoods or in Salta Province. |
